[ Also he always forgets that everyone can read everyone conversations on this thing. That jars him for a second, but it's not as if this would have been a secret anyway. ]

Three of us are here. I thought he was safe, at home, but now he could be anywhere. At least if he'd come here I would have known.
FROM: dartagnan@cdc.org
Thank you, though. I'm glad to know you're safe, at least.
[ He laughs at that. He has no real idea what they think of him. ]
FROM: dartagnan@cdc.org
I doubt it. I don't tend to be supportive of their plans.
FROM: dartagnan@cdc.org
Dagger is dangerous. Volatile. Not all of his threats are serious, but some are, and he puts no value on human life. Or any life, if it displeases him. My friend has to compliment him every day, or he'll mount his head on a wall.
FROM: dartagnan@cdc.org
Neheda seems to care about us. I think that's why they call her Mother. She let me help, when people were dying. I won't forget that.
FROM: dartagnan@cdc.org
Ghost and Flux are partners. They're strange, but they don't seem cruel. They're the easiest to talk to.
FROM: dartagnan@cdc.org
Armada seemed cold to me, at first. Now he doesn't. He puts priority on protecting the crew, and I can relate to that. There's part of me that likes him. I'm glad I'm on his team.
[ He doesn't mention Warriorhead, Gliese or Hornet, because he doesn't know them well enough to have formed an opinion. He doesn't know what to make of them yet. ]
I think it was less of a deal and more of a threat.
[ And the 'how' could more or less be summarised by him saying 'Aramis does stupid things, we can't leave him alone', but he won't. ]
FROM: dartagnan@cdc.org
It's possible it was a joke. Dagger also doesn't understand jokes. That's why he's dangerous, you never know if he means it or not. You're on his team, you have to be careful.
FROM: dartagnan@cdc.org
They failed him once, and he tortured them. That one wasn't a joke.
Don't disobey him, Rikki. Promise me. I know you want to look around, I know you don't want to accept this. Neither do I, but you need to be careful with him. With all of them.
FROM: dartagnan@cdc.org
If you get caught and punished, you won't do any good here. I don't want you to get hurt.
[ Really, really sweet (though the fact she actually gets his name spelling right is a sign she's been over his file already). She debates a moment before replying...but there's a notable lack of an oath here. She doesn't like making promises she isn't sure she can keep yet.]
[ He’s actually kind of impressed. Most people struggle with his name, whether in person or over text. He’s given up correcting them. Rikki pays attention.
But so does he, which means he notices that lack of a promise, and he sighs. He should’ve known it wouldn’t be that easy. ]
FROM: dartagnan@cdc.org
I do, too. Hopefully it won’t be that long. I don’t like Ajna better than many places, but Lusania is one of them.

And thanks. Looks like we'll have a little more time for exploring.

Date: 2014-08-31 11:34 pm (UTC)No. We didn't even know the planet you're on was called Lusania, until we were sent there. Despite us landing there before.

I'll do everything I can. This place isn't getting any safer. I'm tired of having more questions than answers. I'm sure you are too.

Dagger is the one most consistently coming up as the concern. Do you know how your friend struck that deal?
